Static Dissipative Flooring — Controlled-Resistance Resin Systems
Static dissipative resin flooring provides a controlled path for electrostatic discharge — fast enough to prevent charge accumulation, slow enough to protect operators from earth-fault shocks. F Wilding Ltd installs static dissipative floors UK-wide for electronics manufacturing, medical device assembly, server rooms and sensitive laboratories.
What is static dissipative flooring?
A static dissipative epoxy SL or PU system incorporating conductive fillers targeted to a measured resistance band of 10⁶–10⁹ Ω, installed over a copper earth grid. Resistance is measured on completion and issued as a certificated report.
Where it's used
PCB and semiconductor assembly, medical device manufacture, server and data centre rooms, aerospace electronics, munitions where controlled discharge is required.
Key benefits
Why UK commercial and industrial specifiers choose static dissipative flooring for their sites:
- Resistance controlled 10⁶–10⁹ Ω
- Certificated per IEC 61340
- Seamless SL finish
- Wide colour range
- Compatible with cleanroom protocols
- Long-term stable electrical performance
Our installation approach
Every install starts with a free site survey to confirm the substrate is fit for the specified system. We mechanically prepare the concrete (diamond grinding, shot blasting or scabbling depending on the resin), install any DPM, primers and repairs required, apply the resin build-up in coats to the specified thickness, and hand over with a written warranty and maintenance schedule. Nationwide, with experienced resin flooring teams.
Frequently asked questions
How often does the resistance need re-testing?+
Typically annually as part of a QA regime. We can be booked to carry out re-testing and re-certification.
What warranty do you provide?+
A written 5-year product-and-installation warranty is standard on all supply-and-install projects. Some systems (PU screeds, MMA) can be extended to 7–10 years subject to specification and client maintenance regime.
Do you cover the whole UK?+
Yes. F Wilding Ltd is Essex-based but the majority of our contracts are outside the South East — London, the Midlands, the North West, Yorkshire, the North East, Wales, Scotland and the South West. Travel, accommodation and out-of-hours access are priced into every quote.
