What is epoxy damp proof membranes (dpm)?
An epoxy DPM is a two-pack solvent-free epoxy primer applied at high film thickness (typically 300–500 microns across two coats) that forms a continuous vapour barrier across the substrate. Once cured, the DPM primer allows any resin flooring system to be installed over the top with full manufacturer warranty against moisture-related failure.

DPMs are specified whenever slab moisture measured at hygrometer reading exceeds 75% RH — typical situations include new-build slabs less than six weeks old, old ground-bearing slabs without a below-slab DPM, floors that have flooded or been water-cleaned, and cold-store conversions where thermal moisture drive is a risk.

We mechanically prepare the concrete (diamond grinding, shot blasting or scabbling depending on the resin), install any DPM, primers and repairs required, apply the resin build-up in coats to the specified thickness, and hand over with a written warranty and maintenance schedule. Do I need a DPM under my resin floor?+
Only if slab moisture readings exceed 75% RH. We test as part of the free site survey and only specify a DPM where one is needed — it's an added cost we don't include unnecessarily.
Can a DPM stop existing rising damp?+
An epoxy DPM blocks moisture vapour rising through the slab and protects the resin floor above it. It does not stop water travelling up walls or through separate structural elements.
What warranty do you provide?+
A written 5-year product-and-installation warranty is standard on all supply-and-install projects. Some systems (PU screeds, MMA) can be extended to 7–10 years subject to specification and client maintenance regime.
