Heavy Duty Industrial Flooring — Specialist Resin Systems
Heavy-duty industrial flooring means resin systems specified to survive the toughest environments — high point loads from racking, forklift and MHE traffic, thermal shock, chemical exposure, impact from dropped tooling and continuous wash-down. F Wilding Ltd installs heavy-duty industrial resin systems (PU HF screeds, thick epoxy SL, MMA quartz) nationwide.
What is heavy duty industrial flooring?
Heavy-duty resin floors are typically 4–12 mm build systems using polyurethane cement, high-build epoxy, or MMA quartz. Specification depends on the specific combination of impact, thermal, chemical and wet loading — no single system does everything.
Where it's used
Foundries, engineering plants, metal fabrication, chemical processing, breweries, meat and poultry processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, aerospace MRO, distribution hub floors under continuous MHE traffic.
Key benefits
Why UK commercial and industrial specifiers choose heavy duty industrial flooring for their sites:
- Compressive strengths up to 75 N/mm²
- Impact-resistant thick build
- Chemical & thermal-shock rated
- Anti-slip broadcast options
- Coving and falls-to-drain compatible
- 15–20 year service life under heavy use
Our installation approach
Every install starts with a free site survey to confirm the substrate is fit for the specified system. We mechanically prepare the concrete (diamond grinding, shot blasting or scabbling depending on the resin), install any DPM, primers and repairs required, apply the resin build-up in coats to the specified thickness, and hand over with a written warranty and maintenance schedule. Nationwide, with experienced resin flooring teams.
Frequently asked questions
Which system is 'heaviest-duty'?+
For combined wet, hot, and impact loading, PU HF screed at 9–12 mm. For pure impact and abrasion resistance in ambient dry environments, thick epoxy SL with cast-iron aggregate. For rapid-service industrial repair, MMA quartz. We recommend by application.
What warranty do you provide?+
A written 5-year product-and-installation warranty is standard on all supply-and-install projects. Some systems (PU screeds, MMA) can be extended to 7–10 years subject to specification and client maintenance regime.
Do you cover the whole UK?+
Yes. F Wilding Ltd is Essex-based but the majority of our contracts are outside the South East — London, the Midlands, the North West, Yorkshire, the North East, Wales, Scotland and the South West. Travel, accommodation and out-of-hours access are priced into every quote.
