Decorative Quartz Flooring — Coloured Quartz Decorative Systems
Decorative quartz flooring uses coloured ceramic-coated quartz aggregates broadcast into a resin basecoat to deliver a decorative, textured, hard-wearing seamless floor with far greater durability and slip resistance than a flake system. F Wilding Ltd installs decorative quartz floors nationwide across food, healthcare, retail and commercial sites.
What is decorative quartz flooring?
A primer, resin basecoat, broadcast of coloured quartz to refusal, vacuuming of surplus, and one or two clear resin sealer coats. Total build 3–6 mm.
Where it's used
High-traffic commercial and industrial floors where decorative finish, slip resistance and durability all matter — food areas, retail, healthcare wet rooms, workshops, kitchens, corridors.
Key benefits
Why UK commercial and industrial specifiers choose decorative quartz flooring for their sites:
- Wide colour palette and blends
- Excellent slip resistance
- Very hard-wearing (15+ year service)
- Chemical & thermal resistant
- Hygienic — coved detailing
- Bespoke blends to match brand
Our installation approach
Every install starts with a free site survey to confirm the substrate is fit for the specified system. We mechanically prepare the concrete (diamond grinding, shot blasting or scabbling depending on the resin), install any DPM, primers and repairs required, apply the resin build-up in coats to the specified thickness, and hand over with a written warranty and maintenance schedule. Nationwide, with experienced resin flooring teams.
Frequently asked questions
How is decorative quartz different from decorative flake?+
Flake gives a smoother, glossier finish that's more decorative but less physically robust. Quartz gives a textured, matte finish with much greater durability and slip resistance.
How is it cleaned?+
Rotary scrubber-dryer with appropriate detergent for commercial areas. Domestic-scale quartz floors clean with a stiff-bristle brush and neutral detergent.
What warranty do you provide?+
A written 5-year product-and-installation warranty is standard on all supply-and-install projects. Some systems (PU screeds, MMA) can be extended to 7–10 years subject to specification and client maintenance regime.
Do you cover the whole UK?+
Yes. F Wilding Ltd is Essex-based but the majority of our contracts are outside the South East — London, the Midlands, the North West, Yorkshire, the North East, Wales, Scotland and the South West. Travel, accommodation and out-of-hours access are priced into every quote.
