Excess moisture in a concrete slab is the single biggest cause of resin flooring failure — a slab tested above 75% RH will blow a standard resin system within months. F Wilding Ltd carries out concrete moisture testing UK-wide, using hygrometer surveys to BS 8203 / BS 5325, and specifies epoxy DPM systems where readings exceed thresholds.
What is concrete moisture testing?
We install insulated hygrometer hoods on the slab, leave them in place for 72 hours minimum, and take relative humidity readings. Readings are recorded, plotted across the floor, and reported with a written certificated moisture survey.
Where and when we use it
New-build slabs before flooring installation, refurbished slabs where DPM condition is unknown, floors that have flooded or been water-cleaned, cold store conversions.

What RH is safe for resin flooring?+
Standard resin systems require <75% RH. Systems installed over epoxy DPM can be laid on slabs up to 98% RH. Above this, additional drying or specialist DPM is required.
Can you work around a live operation?+
Almost every project we run is on a working site. We phase installs by bay, aisle or zone, work nights and weekends where required, and specify fast-cure MMA or polyaspartic systems on jobs where a single continuous shutdown isn't possible.
Do you cover the whole UK?+
Yes. F Wilding Ltd is Essex-based but the majority of our contracts are outside the South East — London, the Midlands, the North West, Yorkshire, the North East, Wales, Scotland and the South West. Travel, accommodation and out-of-hours access are priced into every quote.
