Resin Flooring — Nationwide UK Installation
Seamless resin flooring is the industry standard for warehouses, production floors, food facilities and any environment that needs a hard-wearing, chemical-resistant, easy-clean surface. F Wilding Ltd designs and installs the full range of resin systems — epoxy, polyurethane, MMA and polyaspartic — across the whole of the UK. F Wilding Ltd is an Essex-based specialist resin flooring contractor. Our experienced teams have successfully completed over 500 resin flooring installations across the UK, delivering high-quality commercial and industrial flooring solutions. We also provide labour-only support to main contractors and flooring companies nationwide.
What is resin flooring?
Resin flooring is a family of high-performance floor coatings applied as a liquid over a prepared concrete substrate, curing to form one continuous seamless surface. Because there are no joints, dirt, bacteria and moisture have nowhere to collect — which is why the food, pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors rely on it. Modern resin systems are engineered for specific duties: heavy forklift traffic, hot-oil spillage, thermal shock, HACCP wash-down regimes, chemical exposure, decorative finishes, anti-slip requirements and rapid-cure environments where downtime costs money.
Where resin flooring is used
We install resin flooring across every commercial and industrial sector, most commonly:
- Warehousing & distribution centres — hard-wearing epoxy or PU for pallet racking and MHE traffic
- Food & beverage production — HACCP-compliant polyurethane screeds and hygienic coatings
- Automotive workshops & MOT bays — oil-resistant epoxy in bay colours with line marking
- Manufacturing & engineering — chemical and impact-resistant systems for production lines
- Pharmaceutical & cleanroom facilities — GMP-compliant self-smoothing resin systems
- Aviation hangars — heavy-duty coatings for aircraft towing and MRO activity
- Education & healthcare — matt polyurethane systems that are comfortable underfoot and quiet
Our installation process
We treat every project the same way. A free site survey confirms substrate condition, moisture content and any remedial work required. We shot-blast or diamond-grind the concrete to open the surface (a floor is only as good as its preparation), install any repairs, primers and moisture barriers as needed, then apply the specified resin build-up in coats. Finally we cut expansion joints back in, apply line marking or hazard demarcation if specified, and hand over with a written warranty. Most jobs are completed in a single visit with pre-agreed access windows to keep your operation running.

Frequently asked questions
How long does resin flooring last?+
A properly specified and installed resin floor lasts 15–20 years in a well-managed environment. Heavier duty systems (PU screed, MMA) will outlast the surrounding building fabric with basic maintenance.
How much does resin flooring cost per m²?+
Prices typically range from £22/m² for a basic epoxy coating on sound concrete up to £75/m² for a heavy-duty polyurethane screed with edge details and coving. We provide fixed-price quotes after a free site survey.
Can you install while we're still operating?+
Yes — we routinely install in phased zones, at night and over weekends. Fast-cure MMA systems allow us to return an area to service within one hour of finishing.
How long does it take to cure?+
Standard epoxy: light foot traffic in 12–24 hours, full mechanical load in 5–7 days. MMA systems: full service in 1–2 hours. Polyurethane: 24–48 hours to service.
Do you install resin flooring nationwide?+
Yes. We're based in Essex but the majority of our work is across the UK — London, the Midlands, the North, Wales, Scotland and the South West. Travel and accommodation are included in our fixed quotes.
What warranty do you offer?+
A written 5-year product-and-installation warranty is standard on all supply-and-install projects, extendable depending on the resin system specified.
