Why polyaspartic?
Polyaspartic coatings are a class of aliphatic polyurea. They cure by chemical reaction (not solvent evaporation), which means fast, predictable cure times independent of ambient conditions. They're UV-stable — no yellowing under skylights or sunlight — abrasion-resistant, chemical-resistant, and available in the same decorative flake and quartz finishes as epoxy. The trade-off is a slightly higher m² price than a standard epoxy — but if you're losing revenue every hour the floor is closed, polyaspartic pays for itself on the first job.

How a polyaspartic system is built up
A typical polyaspartic decorative floor is a 3-coat build: a moisture-tolerant primer, a body coat with decorative flake or quartz broadcast into the wet resin, and a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat. Total system thickness is usually 1.5–3 mm depending on the aggregate. Prep is the same shot-blast or diamond-grind we use for epoxy — the difference is at the install stage, where we can finish and hand over in a single working day.
Polyaspartic vs epoxy — the honest comparison
Epoxy is cheaper per m² and gives a slightly harder surface. Polyaspartic is faster to install, UV-stable, and lets you re-open the floor within hours. We install both, and our surveyor will tell you honestly which one gives you the better return. On a domestic garage or a small showroom the answer is almost always polyaspartic; on a large warehouse where you can spare the cure time, epoxy still wins on price.

Yes — we broadcast graded aggregate (vinyl flake, quartz or aluminium oxide) into the body coat to hit any required PTV / R-rating.
Can polyaspartic be installed at low temperatures?+
Yes — polyaspartic systems cure down to around 0°C, well below the 10°C minimum for most epoxies. That makes them viable in cold stores and outdoor-adjacent areas.
How long does polyaspartic flooring last?+
A correctly installed polyaspartic floor gives 10–15+ years of service. The topcoat is harder-wearing than most epoxy topcoats and doesn't degrade under UV.
